ABOUT GUIDE TO REFERENCE
Guide to Reference is a cornerstone of the literature of librarianship.
The new online edition takes full advantage of the Web's capacities to connect information sources; it also creates and links to content that makes it a center for learning about and practicing reference librarianship.
It is used internationally as the “source of first resort” for identifying local materials that answer users’ questions, training reference staff, inventorying and developing reference collections, assisting interlibrary loan staff, and serving as a gateway to the wider repertory of the reference literature.
General Editor's Introduction
Also, read an interview with general editor Bob Kieft that appeared in Booklist Online (Jan. 28, 2009).
